Sunday Worship is an approximately 60 minute service held in our historic 1892 Sanctuary. Worship follows the traditional “four-fold pattern” of historic Christianity: Gathering; Engagement in the Word; Thanksgiving; and Sending Forth.
The hour includes: Congregational hymns and songs from accompanied on our beautiful 1893 pipe organ; specific acts of liturgy such as The Lord’s Prayer, Unison prayers and litanies, and a Statement of Faith (Creed); a time of community prayer; a sermon typically based on readings from the Revised Common Lectionary; music from our Chancel Choir, Heritage Ringers, or Children’s Choirs; and A Time for Children. Typically, we celebrate Holy Communion on the first Sunday of each month and on an occasional basis for other Holy Days in the calendar.
Children are always welcome in worship and we strive to help them feel included; a nursery is always available if you prefer.
